Preparations and Textbooks

Forgot to post this link, but ハート先生 sent it to me and the other KGers, and I thought it was pretty freakin neat. I'm pretty sure all of us are staying with a host family, and this is a neat website that helps you get ready for that experience. ありがとう、先生!

That Peter-kun is bad news.

Also: I got my textbooks today! Or rather, I received my Genki II book in the mail, and found my Genki I book from high school, and reunited the two with glee. I'm going to Massachusetts for a couple of months for this volunteer thing, and I'm gonna be having some hardcore study tiemz so I can do well on the placement exam in 日本. Nerd five!

Anywho, that's it for now.

Getting ready for KG

I still have a lot of things to do to prepare, and it is bleh. まだしておかなきゃならない事がたくさんあって、「bleh」ですよ。Here are some of the dreadfully interesting things with which I have been preoccupied:

On the last day of school, I had to pay for the insurance UNT would provide me for going abroad. I didn't actually get the insurance card at the time, because there were still forms that I needed to fill out in order to get it. When I got to Austin I had to mail in my list of classes that I could take to the College of Arts and Sciences to get a signature. They would send it off to the Center for Global Learning and Experience for them to file away. I just recently bought my tickets for Japan. I'll be flying with the other girl from UNT, Marnia. I filled out my flight information online for the insurance form today. I'm also waiting for KG to send me my Certificate of Eligibility so I can mail in my application for a student visa. I also have to buy an extra battery for my camera.

So there. Calm down now, calm down.
